Window Media Player 10

Hi There,
Can anybody help me with the following problem?
Can you make a copy of an Audio Cassette to the Hard Drive, then copy it on to a CD or DVD by using Window Media Player 10. I have tried by linking up to the Headphone Socket on the Cassette player to the PC input socket. The sound of the cassette plays OK,, but I cannot seem to record it. I have done it in the past but I think it was before I upgraded the Media Player to 10, would this make a difference? The unit works OK with an Audio CD, all the items are listed when you select the RIP tab.
Would appreciate any help.

Use Audacity to record it; then burn to CD as a wav / mp3 or whatever format you want.
