Hi,thanks for looking
My friend has an old basic computer running Windows 95, the system has some glitches on it, she does not want to upgrade or reformat, does anyone know how to get 95 to repair its own files or how to repair them manualy,
Thanks

The easiest way is to just put the CD-ROM into the drive and re-install Windows 95.

If we know then we can help more.

Go into the Start-Run in desktop and type in sfc then hit ok. This will (think it does in Win95) check registry system files to see if any are corrupt. If it finds any, it will promt you for the Win95 CD.

If you have error messeges, or strange things like blue screens or freezing etc we need to know.

Also any error messeges with letters, numbers and the usuall routine as:- what was your friend doing when a problem started.

click here for JV16 powertools, the best registry cleaner you can get .

click here for Space Odyssey, a good tool for cleaning gash off the hard drive.

Both should be usefull.
