Win98 Hard Drive Size

  Confab 19:00 13 May 2005

Could anyone tell me what the maximum hard drive you can have on a pc with Win98 installed. I have contacted my BIOS manufacturer who says that they can sell me a BIOS upgrade for $29.95 which supports hard drives up to 250GB (on some systems they say)but I suspect that win98 has a limitation of less than 250GB. Does anyone know what this is.

Thanks in advance

. HDD manufacturer may have software to overcome this.

Alternative, it is possible to partition large HDD into several small partitions

Thanks TomJerry. I'll go and buy the 80GB drive I was after.

Thanks again
