I have just taken delivery of a new HP DV7 4131sa Laptop with Windows 7. I am now busily trying to get all the stuff on my old XP Desktop on to the new one.

Looking in the start button on the Win7, to get hold of the programmes installed, they all seem to be in any order. How do I get them to be listed in alphabetic order? It was easy in Xp, but I cannot see how to do it in 7.

Thanks for that, though it seems as though I have to download an extra. Is there no way in Win 7 that I can list all the programmes alphabetically?

As you say, there is a lot of people asking. I will have a closer look and see if there is any real answer.
