Just run a scan with the latest AdAware version, and this piece of digital dog mess turned up!
Googling only brings up various fora with the latest lavasoft updates, and I can't access the lavasoft forum it's self.
Anybody know anything about this trojan?

Have you tried some other program?

I use Superantispyware and its free and rather good and removes lots of nasties.

I've just downloaded the latest free AdAware Free version, and run it, discovered this and "fixed" it, then run Spybot and AVG anti-virus.
Presumably my PC is now clean, but I was just after more info on Win32.TrojanSpy.banker.

Never used A2 before, do you mean the a-squared Free 3.1 download?

didn't see the vital word "free" in your posting!
I've downloaded it, but some of the install options confuse me: -
Not sure if I want a shortcut in my start menu.
next screen had 3 boxes all ticked
1. Desktop Icon... OK
2. Quick Launch Icon....not wanted
3. Install scan via context menu.....what??
Do you know what the third option means?

Context menu is what you get when you right click something.

whilst waiting for a response to this thread, I noticed an advert down the right hand side of the screen for a remover, trusting this site's integrity, I clicked the link and fortunately was warned by SiteAdvisor when the page loaded that it was a high risk site.
I shan't be viewing any more ads sponsored or otherwise on PCA's pages.
Perhaps PCA towers need to take more control of the ads that they permit to be displayed, as this detracts from their good name.

psstt; that is why I put the word 'free' IN !!!the FREE exe is click here

suggest you have a desk top icon
AND when you have fully updated it, reboot and open the program to see the scan options ; click on scan computer and select deep scan ;
such MAY take a wee bit of time but worth it

I'll leave that one ticked then!
(Hope I'll remember the meaning of that phrase in future!)
Thanks again for educating me ;-)
That's interesting, worrying that I don't know how long the little b** has been there, I've been a little lax in my security, and last scanned at the beginning of December!!
I'll run a2 now and see if AdAware indeed got rid of it!
