Win32/Nachi.Worm

Does anyone how I can remove this worm.

AVG hasn't updated because I've not used the computer for a while, and there it was before I'd had time to update manually!

I can't get onto the internet on the infected computer so any downloads will have to moved by floppy or CD.

Thanks

click here for a free removal tool that will fit on a floppy. Print out the instructions and follow them carefully, especially the section regarding disabling of System Restore.

I got that wrong.

Downloaded that tool but it says there's nothing on the system.

Also found another one at click here which also says nothing wrong.

I assumed the worst because I'm having the same problems as a friend who knows he has the virus.

I've also run regedit which shows several instances of win32/nachi or valla under hkey_current_user/software/microsoft/internet explorer

Still can't get onto the internet though and still no sound either.

Any other ideas what may be wrong please?

This worm is odd, it patches you up.
