Been trying to solve this for ages.when you force XP to run CHKDSK at start up where is the log file stored??I've read that it in Event Viewer under Winlogon but can't find anything!
click herefollow thread it may explain why
SANTOS7 - Read that just before i posted this thread!! Looked to involved so i gave up. I'll look again.Cheers
Found it. It is under Winlogon but seems you need to run CHKDSK during Boot Up generate the Winlogon entry. Also if you set multiple disks for CHKDSk then it only logs that last disk by the looks of it.....
But if i use Diskeeper to run a Boot Time Defrag and select run CHKDSK it makes an entry for each drive.Would be nice if it produced the old *.log files in the root instead.....
