Win XP Cannot Copy CD Resource in use

When I go to copy a file to the cdrw drive the message "cannot copy filename: the requested resource is in use". I have looked to see what is taking up the resource but cannot find any programs holding the file.

What burning software are you using as XP comes with its own,and tends to monopolise the drive.

It has installed instand cd/dvd but i am just trying to use the normal windows copy. I have checked task manager to see what is running it is not running. Are there any other applications that could take hold of the drive?
