win xp back up

hi,i have my original win xp disk,and sp 1 disk,
sp 2 disk,
i had a new m/board fitted at my local shop,and they put win xp back on.but used they disk,
if i need to reinstall xp.without going through all the time with my old disks and then updates!
can i back up win xp to a dvd disk?
so if i need to i can just insert and load it up if my hard disk crashes ect

The best way is to use something like Acronis True Image to copy your HDD to DVDs.

If you have a crash or failed HDD you can restore everything XP, programs, favourites,photos, data files, emails etc.
In approx 15 mins you can be back to where you made the last backup.
