Hi, I have a pc which is running out of disk space and was wondering if I should change to a larger hard drive or to get another one but the question I have is:
1) Do I need to activate windows again if I was to install a new Hard drive with the same copy of win xp in the same pc. Will microsoft allow it to be activated since its a new formated hard drive and also
2) How do I copy all the info from my old hard drive to the new hard drive. Is there a special software for it.
3)My other option is to install a 2nd hard drive, again will I be able to activate it with the same win xp cd?
Appreciate if anyone knows any answers to these question and any input you can give me.

Usually if you go to the hard drive manufacturers website they have software that you can download that will copy exactly one hard drive to another - maxtor do this if they are your HDD manufacturer. click here

You will still be able to activate without problems if you change HD.

It's same as if you re formated the disk.

If any problem, microsoft will give you code if you say you've changed HD.
