Win-tv usb

I have win-tv usb conected to my note book pc. Every time I try to watch tv it fine for few minutes then my whole system freezes.
I am conecting through a belkin usb hub.
I also seem to get the same problem with my web cam.
PLEASE HELP

Is the USB hub powered or does it draw power from the USB prt?

The usb hub is powered.

I have run win tv for a few years now but it does need to go into a direct USB port. I have successfully run it on both USB 1 and 2. To be honest cant say theres much difference
