Win. Mob 5.0 Excell date problem

  Baz48 17:56 23 Dec 2006

I have transfered an Excell doc. to my PDA but a column of dates has been transposed to the US type e.g. from 23/12/06 to 12/23/06.

Is there a way to change this?

System is Windows Mobile 5.

I don't know about PDAs but on PCs Excel's treatment of dates is based on the settings in Control Panel, Regional and Language Options.

No control panel on the PDA and very little control in Excell. You don't even seem to be able to open a new file from within the program, only by double clicking the file in explorer.

Do you have any control over regional settings? Something like 'Locale' for example.

I've just noticed that the date is in the US format on the screen saver when the PDA is docked in the Activesync cradle, so it looks like a basic set up problem. I will have a hunt round for some kind of setup.

Found a "regional settings" hidden away and it was set to English US. Sorry for the trouble!

No problem and thanks for the feedback.

Have a great Christmas!
