Win 98SE - No text labels on program buttons ?

  boot-it-out 08:16 16 Feb 2008

I have an old Win98 SE PC which I have set up to record home CCTV. I got a cheap 4 port CCTV capture card from E-Bay which came with some software that said it was compatible with Win98.

Everything is installed and I can view the CCTV images on the PC, but all of the program buttons just have a horizontal line : __________ instead of the text label for that button, so it is very difficult to work out what the actual buttons are for !

I suspect it might be a missing Windows font ?? but have no way of knowing which font would be needed.

Anyone know which particular font is usually used on the program buttons, especially for cheap software imported from the far East ?

Or is there another solution ( apart from upgrading Win98, not being cheap imported rubbish, and spending more cash ! ) ??
