Hi, I have been asked to look at a pc which is windows 95, it will not start up only lasts about 30 seconds and loses power. It is not sticking or looping on boot - up apparently it just dies.

Apparently it is only 4 years old, but i would guess it is alot older.

I wondering if it is even worth looking at as it is so old. Any help anyone could offer will be great.

This could well be overheating. You could try MBM click here if iot will run on Windows 95.

Power Supply top Back of case, with all the wires coming from it

Or look in the BIOS for temps. However, on further thought, if the 'puter is very old the M/B may not support temperature monitoring.

Will i be able to look at BIOS if computer will not start up???

Change it with a known good one to try see if it is that. If it's old you may have a Problem as it mat be a AT case not ATX. The main wire loom for a AT as two plugs side by side on the motherboard ATX as just one main Plug with lots of wires connected to Motherboard
