i have just bought a game when i have installed it and click on the shortcut on the desktop i get a error meesage that says this is not a valid win32 file any ideas thanks

This normally indicates a corrupt file. From a setup for example "Setup is not a valid win 32 app" then this is because it is not compatible with your drive or because DMA is turned on. Hope I got that right I just remember reading it somewhere :0))

i dont think it is a corrupt file but how do i turn dma off xp home thanks

suggest you uninstall then re-install
the game.Normaly happens when you download a game.
