Would there be any problems upgrading from Win 2000 to Win XP.

Thanks.

Shouldn't be - the two are pretty compatible. But I am always in favour of a clean install; saves poential problems.

Why the upgrade? I find that I prefer 2k to XP... just a preference though.

Upgrade not for me, my friend not keen on 2000.

Ok - I still suggest that your friend does a clean install of XP; it will require a format and then boot with XP disk and follow on from there. Get any relevant drivers, especially for modem, before doing the upgrade. And do a good backup of all relelvant data.

But as Diodorus Siculus said Fresh install is best :-)
