Hi Guys,

I installed Windows 7 but then put my PC back to factory settings, which was Windows Vista. As I had registered Windows 7, will my registration key work again

My PC specifications are as follows:-

Acer Aspire 5735

OS: Windows Vista (TM) Home Premium Service Pack 1 (6.00.6001)
DirectX: 9.0c
CPU name: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T6400 @ 2.00GHz
CPU speed: 1995MHz
Memory: 2047MB
Screen size: 1366x768 (32bits)
Video card: Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family, 1308MB

Will my registration key work again and if not, is there a way to make it work without calling Microsoft?

OEM or retail version?

OEM can only be installed and registered to one machine when that machine dies so does the license.

Retail version can only be put on one machine at a time be can b transferred to another.

If retail you need to tell MS you have remove it from the Acer

I posted this on another forum, and the other forum told me I could, so I'll go with that.

It would have been quite useful if you had responded to Q's asked.

We can only suppose that you will post on the other forum for help if you run into difficulties.
