Can't find any mention of this board on the Gigabyte site, it should be GA something as an example my board is a GA7VAXP

Your MoBo should have a model number like GA-6WMX7 if you dont know it use something like Evereat to find it click here

Found it, its one of 8 boards but I don't know which one, download AIDA32 and it will tell you the serial number of your board or restart and look at the screen when it first boots up that will tell you which board it is.

Serial Number 004985320311
i hope this helps

No Tony this won't help, that is the serial number of the board we need the model of the board, if you do what I said and restart you should see it, it will be something like
GA6-CDS67 or something like it. What you have given us is the equivalent of a number plate on a car, we need the make/model of the car to see if it'll take a bigger engine if you know what I mean.

I've found the board here
but can't find what CPUs it'll support

Found this but it won't connect, only suggestion I have if this doesn't work is try emailing Gigabyte
One thing I did notice though is there a mention of updating the Bios cos it falsely reported a 1000mhz chip as 1xxx so it appears your board will take a faster processor but to find out how fast try emailing Gigabyte.
