Will MS Publisher 97 work with XP?

  Rockarch 18:33 09 Feb 2008

This is probably a very easy question for someone who knows!
I am going to be editing a newsletter for a local group & looking through the software I've got I discovered MS Publisher 97 on an Office 97 disc I've got. The simple question is whether this will work on a PC running XP Home?

If it won't does anyone know of an easy to use & inexpensive (ideally free) publishing programme for a fairly straightforward newsletter? Word features are not enough due to the way it is printed.
Thanks in advance for your help

If you have Word and Outlook, you may want to turn off the Journalizing feature in Outlook click here

IIRC, later editions of Publisher are not backwards compatible.
