Hi, considering buying this, click here with Intel® ProWireless 2200 802.11b/g . will it have a sticky out aerial kind of thing or will it be 'in built'????

Thanks

It should be built in... I've not seen a laptop with one outside.

ok, thanks, i presume everyone have only seen them inbuilt then??

On second thoughts, you can get "sticky out ones" as you put it! :-)

These go into the PCIMCIA slots.

Sorry, should be PCMCIA!

PCMCIA: people cannot memorise computer industry acronyms :-)

lol, ok, but is there any way of telling if that particular aerial will be 'sticky out'???

Thanks for your help

It should be built in.

You would only need a PCMCIA one for a laptop that did not have WiFi built in. The PCMCIA ones only stick out about 1 cm anyway.

As it is a Centrino machine, it will have a built in aerial, not an external one.

thankyou very much, do these in built aerials tend to pick up the signal just as well as a pcmcia aerial?

Yes, just as well - mine even connected on a train recently.

ok, thankyou very much for your help
