Intel Pentium D Dual Core 2x3.0
Crucial 2GB ( 2x1GB) PC2 4200 533
Windows XP Home

Just wondering because I see it has a fast clock speed for GPU & Memory. The card price is on the edge of my budget. Will it work with the latest games ??

Plus does it work with Vista ? as I may upgrade sometime in the future.

The reason Im asking is that the card fits into slot PCI-e x16 ( which I have on my board ) but in the description of the card it says PCI-e x16 2.0. Will this work with my card ??

Thanks for any info.

“PCI-e x16 2.0 Will this work with my card”

PCI-e 2.0 doubles the bus standards bandwidth from 2.5 Gbit/s to 5 Gbit/s,

Meaning an x32 connector can transfer data at up to 16 GB/s in each direction.
PCI-e 2.0 is completely backwards compatible with PCI-e v1

Graphic cards and motherboards designed for v2.0 will be able to work with v1.1 and v1.0, and vice versa.

There aren't many video cards yet that makes full use of the extra bandwidth of the V2 specification
