Whenever I type the A and D keys , either lower case or capita1s , number are added along side...

here is what's showing when I type the A and D....

(I have deleted the numbers above to make it easer to explain.)

Obvious but have tried another keyboard,if it's a laptop plug in a separate usb keyboard to see if that works.

Do you do a lot of gaming? If you are you may have simply worn out that part of the keyboard. If it is a rubber membrane keyboard, as opposed to a keyboard with mechanical switches, the membrane and the contacts may be wearing out or even breaking up.

Try another keyboard to determine where the fault lies. If I were to guess I would say that the keyboard has developed short circuits between some of the circuit tracks. Have you spilt anything on it in the recent past.

Hi guys, thanks for the replies.

I have just found out what the problem was.. I play Euro Truck Simulator 2 and use a program to map the keeyboard keys to the buttons on my driving force pro wheel. ETS2LookingHelper

I kept it in the background even when I wasnt playing the game , so when I switched it off, the keyboard worked as it should.. duh

Ah well , lesson learned. I posted on scs forum to report hthe problem

Thanks again.
