Widows task manager or just plain Scrabble?

  soberjaymz 07:08 01 Feb 2006

I keep seeing in the forum, people saying things like '... just click task manager and see what's running...' Fair enough.
This may sound stupid but even when I access task manager, the 'processes'are written in Scrabble format, so I have no idea what is running or what it means. Does anyone know an easy way or descrambing these codes, coz'half the time it warns that you could be messing up your pc or killing it...
Always baffled me, that has..

A lot of the time the short 'scrabble' like word has a clue, for example zlclient.exe is the zonealarm firewall program. On the other hand so is vsmon.exe which isn't so easily associiated. You can check which processes are which by checking click here

Or just type it into google to find out more for example click here
