Why does Acrobat reader access web?

Hi Forum Members

Everytime I try to view a pdf file Adobe Acrobat Reader it tries to access the internet.

Is there a way of stopping this at all.
I am also using Zone Alarm (basic version) I wonder if it is this the cause, if so how do I disable the problem?

Many kind regards

Probably looking for updates. You can go into the list of programs in Zone Alarm and change the permissions for Acrobat Reader so that it cannot access. The problem though is that, if you click an internet link that's a PDF file, it won't open in Acrobat Reader. You can still download it and open the file offline.
