Which of these <p> tags is causing the padding....

....in Firefox? Slightlymad mentioned recently that Firefox helpfully (!) adds its own padding in certain places and that the cure is to remove some p> tags. Questions is; which ones?

Now.

Moving to WebDesign from Speakers Corner.

I must admit I did not read the code! I'm not sure what the problem is, so can't advise which p tags to remove but why remove p tags? Why not use CSS:

p { padding: 0;} ?

  ade.h 10:24 05 Aug 2006

Thanks for the move!

  ade.h 10:28 05 Aug 2006

Hi.

Unfortunately, NOF only supports CSS for text box formatting and nothing else. Those of you who use DW are spoilt in comparison!
Besides, I only have very modest CSS knowledge.

Slightlymad mentioned that removing the p tags is the way to stop unwanted padding in Firefox. It is not a problem that I have had up to now to any great degree, but a new site is inflicted with it on its contact form.

  harristweed 12:27 05 Aug 2006

You must be able to add code manually in NOF. Put this in to the document head:

< style type="text/css" >
<!--
p { padding: 0;}
-->
</style>

That will (should) remove all padding from p tags.

There is a small amount of support for adding code, mostly for certain objects, navbars, etc. I'll have a look for a means to add to the head area and get back to you later. Thanks very much.
