Which router ????

which router ??????????????????? i know nothing about the router world apart from the knowledge i have gained from googling the pat 48 hours.

i have just signed up to 'movistar' in spain and they have give me this white movistar box (adsl router) that gives me wifi throughout the house fine.i dont have a phone so its just for the internet.

i now need to get my uk satellite box connected to the uk vpn servers to watch 'anytime tv' so i need a 'vpn enabled router'

this is where i need help

can i buy any 'vpn enabled router' or does it need to be an 'adsl' one? in the uk they have 'cable' and 'adsl' routers but both with same connections some sellers on ebay advertise as 'cable only' or on the front of 'belkin' routers they say 'for cable connections' the main confusion is will the new router replace mine or will it connect to it?

any help appreciated

I have just purchased a spanish ''vpn dd-wrt' router which must be 'adsl' as they dont have cable tv here.

So do i use this instead of my original router or connect the new one to it?
