I have recently got myself a new pc but i have not been impressed with the speed especially when booting. I start my firewall/antivirus programs to start manually. I am not into gaming but I download occasionally. Ibeleive my RAM is really small. I need to upgrade it but i don't know which one to buy as i do not which one will be compatible with my motherboard. Can somebody help?
The specs are -
HAWLETT PACKARD
Vista home basic
AMD ATHLON 64 PROCESSOR 3800+ 204GHZ
446 RAM
NVIDIA GEFORCE 6150 SE N FORCE 430
32 BIT OPERARTING SYSTEM
MODEL SR5019UK

Run the scan at click here this will tell you what RAM you have and what you can add.

HP site gives full details click here also another link gives full instructions. Your 446RAM is shown as some of the 512RAM imstalled is used by the graphics card.
Even another 512RAM would make a noticeable difference. Slow boot may als be due to number of programs loading at startup.
