Which Netbook?

Morning all,

Please can someone give me a few pointers on netbooks and can anyone recommend any specific models?

Thanks as always.

Thanks for your reply.

I presume it has to be Windows 7 then as everyone is keen on the new release.

for the same price why not buy a 2nd hand fully spec'd laptop. You can get a pretty good wifi enabled IBM t60 for £240.
Heres one from the first web site I picked

Intergrated Ethernet - 10/100/1000Mbs
Manufacturer - IBM
Memory - 1.0Gb
Modem - Integrated 56K
Operating System - Win XP Pro
Processor - Intel Centrino Duo 1800
Screen - 14.1" TFT
USB Port - 3
Wifi & Bluetooth
£241.50 Incl vat & delivery apparently.

Otherpoint is how upgradeable are netbooks ?

Personally I can't see the point of a netbook - but its personal preference.

I had a Dell laptop, but it was a pain for travelling. Sold it and bought a Samsung NC10 which is great (on XP). The later Samsungs do use W7, I believe.

Three thing I'm considering.
1. Hard drive is not solid state.
2.Battery life; even though adds to cost.
3. Must have W7.

I've used an Eee PC netbook for about 6 months now and found it to be very efficient for the expected stuff like emails, web surfing, skyping etc but also when I've been away from home for a month it's handled word processing and some limited photo editing too.
