Hi, for the same price why not buy a 2nd hand fully spec'd laptop. You can get a pretty good wifi enabled IBM t60 for £240. Heres one from the first web site I picked
CD Drive - DVD ROM/R/RW Intergrated Ethernet - 10/100/1000Mbs Manufacturer - IBM Memory - 1.0Gb Modem - Integrated 56K Operating System - Win XP Pro Processor - Intel Centrino Duo 1800 Screen - 14.1" TFT USB Port - 3 Wifi & Bluetooth £241.50 Incl vat & delivery apparently.
Otherpoint is how upgradeable are netbooks ?
Personally I can't see the point of a netbook - but its personal preference.
I've used an Eee PC netbook for about 6 months now and found it to be very efficient for the expected stuff like emails, web surfing, skyping etc but also when I've been away from home for a month it's handled word processing and some limited photo editing too.
