Which Monitor

I am looking to change my monitor, I have at present a Philips 150 S 15in flat panel but I find this a tad small for my needs, plus my eyes are not what they used to be. I have narrowed my choice down to three in my price range, although my budget is pretty tight, I work a lot with photos and graphics and text, so need plenty of room on the screen. my choices are 1. Philips 202P40 22in ctr flat. 2. Philips flat panel 180B2S 18in. and the Belinea 108030 21in flat. the Belinea is the cheapest by about 20% the other two more or less the same price. all are between 519 and 639 Euros. BUT which one would you choose. Or should I go for a big 22in normal CRT at about 250 Euros, and save some money.

"plus my eyes are not what they used to be"

Of course you can use Windows built in assistance for those whose eyesight on on the wain, however I believe that many folk just change their resolution to 800 by 600.

This course of action would not be available to you with a bigger TFT as opposed to a CRT Monitor.

Changing the resolution would not help me in my main object which is to get more information (windows) onto the screen at one time.

This would give you a quantum leap in space available, but you might need a new graphics card.

Good idea but desk/room space is a problem, sorry it has to be a new monitor, If I go for a normal CRT as opposed to a Flat screen CRT would I be sorry in a few months. the price, particularly second hand for these, is very tempting.
