what type of games u looking to play?

Again, like zincy asks, what type of games are you into, if any? The 6200 model gpu is a seriously underpowered graphics chip. 6600 or 7600 would be better.

EEven new at click here for agp or click here for pci-e the most expensive is £50.51

Hope this helps.

Thanks all,it's my son that plays games on PC and i don't think he plays anything heavy. At least now i know what to look for, cheers.

First you need to know if your new pc can be upgraded by adding a graphics card. Some of the cheaper Dells for instance simply do not have an expansion slot free and you're stuck with the onboard graphics.

If it can be upgraded, does the motherboard have an AGP slot or a PCI-express x16 slot?

How much are you prepared to spend?

How old is your son, and what games does he want to play now? In the future?

My son is 14 yrs and plays games like Sim city and Call of Duty, but i'm not clued up with games.

Ok so that confirms that you can add a graphics card, but you need an AGP one.

Call of Duty is fairly demanding, so I'd recommend at least a 6600GT which will cost about £90, eg click here.

another card to consider: the x800pro agp from Retek is a bit of a bargain

Post back if you want more info or more choices (or want to spend more money)
