I want to import my contact details from Outlook to my webmail account. This may sound a bit dim but I can't find the file which holds my details so I can point the import program at it. Does Outlook have a default file for all the contacts please?

""Where is the file that stores my Contacts?

Outlook stores Contacts, messages, Calendar items, and other Outlook items in a data file called Outlook.pst. The default location is drive:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook. Also see Outlook file locations.""

I think you will first have to export them from Outlook to a .csv file before you can import them to your Webmail

I think that you will need to export the contacts to a file first. .pst or in a format (csv or tab separated) which your webmail account can recognise.
Haven't got the feature to import contacts in my webmail so cannot help with format.
