Where Do I buy a PC from???

  sudds 17:35 02 Apr 2007

Hello all,

I am looking to buy a quiet demanding PC and am getting confused with the mixed reviews that i get from forums, friends, reviews etc. The company i most trust i guess would be dell, because i have had one before and no problems with them. I also have been looking at PC SPECIALIST who are a lot cheaper but this brings doubts to my head.

Here is the specs im looking for, please help me out if you can.

Intel Quad Core 2.6 or higher
512MB nVidia geforce quadro FX4500 Graphics Card
4GB quadro 667 DDR2 memory
200-300GB SAS Hard Drive

Thank you all...

Be it mail order as with Dell or a high street store?
The problem potential is much the same. if it goes wrong during warranty period you have to get it back to the vendor.
Firms like Evesham do[did?] a call out service and extended warranty if you are not up to sorting your own problems.
A recommended local systems builder may be an answer too.

Decisions decisions choices choices- ,you will get a lot an responses none will be perfect.

As you know the spec you want, and probably the bits you don't want as well.

A local builder may well be your best bet.

I had my PC built by click here and they are quite good with any problems. I had a faulty memory stick and they sent one out with a prepaid envelope for me to pop the other one back in the post. Also they can check problems remotely by dialling in to your PC (with your permission of course).

I recommend Novatech. Unless you have a really good local dealer, who will build it to your spec.

I bought a customised PC from Komplett click here

Highly pleased with it.

If you get a pc made to your requirements from a well established local dealer you will get the windows disc with it, they will probably give a years warranty and you can easily take it back if anything go's wrong.
