Schedule AVG to run daily whenever you have your PC on I.E 1800 every night and makesure you have the latest updates.

Post the file location where AVG says it has found the virus we then may be able to tell you the sites most likely.

Have found trojans packaged with installers for screen savers etc.

do you frequent a chat room they are notorious for picking up nasties on your computer

no i dont go in chat rooms: the trojan i got today first of all put it self in c/windows/system then a few hours later the same one put its self in system restore this was after running avg twice first sweep to pick it up second just to confirm it had gone

always disable system restore if avg (or any av software) finds a virus. run a full scan again and delete it. then re enable system restore again.

if you dont do this avg will keep finding viruses in system restore.

the main problem seems to be that the people (for the want of a better name)that create this havoc are finding more sophisticated ways of getting these trojans and viruses on to computers.Email attachments are still the biggest risk though

I found this click here

It may be worth posting an HJT log on that forum.

Running Ad-aware in safe mode may also work.
