Hello. I have just had to re-install windows,after a pc upgrade and have gone back to XP from vista. I saved all my emails and folders from vista but cant find where XP stores them.

I did a goolge and found this

c:\ (or whatever drive windows resides on)
Documents and Settings
Username (your username)
Application Data
Identities
GUID Identifier (random string like {3B0FA092-2222-1111-A1B2-111A1AA1AAA11}
Microsoft
Outlook Express

But the folder 3B0FA092-2222-1111-A1B2-111A1AA1AAA11 or what ever mine is called is empty. I have 96 new emails in out look so They must be some where.

Open Outlook Express - Tools - Options - Maintenance tab and click on Store Folder - that is where they are.

Sorted never knew I would just be able to drag the emails over to outlook

Not the quickest of things to do but a useful workaround - Microsoft always expects you to go from OE to WinMail when you can use the Export/Import menus.

Glad it's sorted.
