when watching videos on youtube

when me or my partner try to watch a video on something like youtube or another website the speech sounds like it is always speeded up and the voices are high pitched and fast. the p is a dell and has win 2000 on it. any help would be great

I would try getting the latest flash player to see if that helps. Can we know what you use to browse the web? Internet Explorer I would assume however finding this out would help.

well i have tryed using both firefox and IE but both still play it high speed, i downloadd the link yu provided and it is still the same

Sometimes an uninstall of Flash is required first;

Remove Flash ; click here
Install Flash ; click here

Close browser(s) during the process, reboot between uninstall and install ideally.

no, if i listen to radio 5 liv for example on this computer, there speech is speeded up as well

Does it sound the same if you play a cd or sound file on your pc or is it just on web, if so check your audio settings for special effects my creative software has many effects including Chipmunk high pitched and fast.
