When replying in Outlook US Dictionary is used instead of default UK



Office version is XP Pro. Outlook: 2002
(10.6515.6626) SP3
Word is being used as the email editor.

When I send an email - Word is obviously using the normal.dot template and uses the default UK Dictionary, but when I reply the US Dictionary is used.

I'm aware that when replying the editor will attempt to use the dictionary associated witht he original text so:
'Detect Language Automatically' is set to off.

I have no Office Language Setup utility in my Microsoft Office Tools.

In options and spelling have you got "Ignore original message text in reply or forward" ticked?

Where is that option?

I'm looking at Tools->Options->Spelling&Grammar.
I have the following ignores:
Ignore word in UPPERCASE
Ignore words with numbers
Ignore Internet & File addresses

But no more...
