Ever since i installed Mcafree Virus Scanner the clock on my computer upstairs (WIN 98) has decided to pick any time it wants, also when i boot up my num lock key has been turned off, meaning i have to press it to turn it on (which i didnt have to do)

Plz Help and tell me why these are doing this :)

it could be the mobo cmos battery has died with most pcs it is simply a matter of unclipping the battery almost the size of a 10 pence piece and putting a new one in. they are normally a CR2032

Is possibly a coincidence that the time has messed up since the mcafee installation and that it is the battery.

If you have mcafee to start when windows starts then disable this and see it the clock keeps the time properly.

I've uninstalled it and the time and date are still messed up..
