whats the "Range" of Wireless Broadband?

  AnthonyB 02:39 16 Dec 2004

Hello, I may purchase a Laptop after Christmas, and would like to know if I'm limited to the house using the BB pack from wanaddo
click here to see the pack.

The garden is about 50-100 feet feet from the phone connector (depending were I go) - would that be too far, or would that be ok?

A typical 11b base station has range 30m indoor and 100m open. I think garden is fine.

11g and 11a versions have shorter range.

if the range is not long enough, you can get one wireless bridge (or multi-mode access point)to exted the range, kind of relay or daisy chain, for example Asus WL-330B Pocket Wireless Access Point 802.11b (11Mbps)£19.12 click here
