what is webpdp.gator?

This may or may not be relevant to my question about the strange *link box*...checked back through yesterdays history to see if there was anything I didn't recognise as having visited...and the only thing that stuck out was the above...webpdp.gator.....?? any ideas?

Gator is spyware can be installed just by visiting a site, run Spybot to get rid of it.

Sorry about this. My post should read "This is almost certainly spyware. Use Ad-aware to get rid of it and then SpywareBlaster to keep out any further threat.

The links are right. Spybot is also very suitable but slightly less user friendly than Ad-aware.
