What type of RAM do I need?

My systen currently has 512MB memory I want to increase it to 1GB. The motherboard has 4 slots and 2 of them are taken up with 256mb DIMM's at 333mhz that unbuffered (I've taken all that from the manual!) I'm assuming I can only buy 2X256mb chips or can I buy a 1X512mb chip and if so could i have a setup where I have the 2X256mb banks, 1X512mb bank and maybe 1X256mb (or 512mb) bank? The manual says the maximum memory is 2GB. As usual I'd be very grateful for any help and maybe any ideas where the best place is to buy the extra Ram from!

you can just buy another 512 stick and that shouldnt be a problem...what I would have done was got 2 512 sticks instead of two 256 and one 512 in case you want to upgrade to more later on...
