What type of music files?

What type of music file should I download in order to burn a CD to play them on a domestic CD Player?
I am talking about legal music!
What suffix would such files have to be sure they were playable in the UK?

download all types then change them before burning, Nero will do it all, as no doubt most other burners will.

Download the file in whatever format you like, but to play on a standard CD player you'll need to convert them to WAV format, which are considerably easier files. You'll also have to burn it as one session and then close the disc, so make sure you have your whole playlist sorted first, because once you've burnt the CD you can't add more songs later and expect to hear them on any CD player.

Hope that helps!

any.

your burning software will convert them when you burn all the various tracks as an audio cd.
