What is thorconwindclass

  gumnut 06:45 02 Feb 2009

Occasionally, Outlook will not send my emails. I get an error message"thorconwindclass" and messages will not send until I reboot. I have done an internet search and there is nothing much on it. What causes this and what steps can I take to get rid of the problem?

I am using windows xp with office 2007

I have no idea what causes it, and it would appear that I am not the only one 'in the dark'.

All I would suggest, if this has not been going on for too long, is that perhaps a System Restore back to before it started, might fix it.

Hi gumnut

Give this a go. I found this solution it on the net. It's quick and easy to do, if it works great, if not you haven't lost anything, right?

Control Panel> Display> Screen Saver> Set the screensaver to 'None'

Thanks for all the ideas, I am now in the process of trying them out, but as the problem is intermittent I won't know if it has been solved for a few days. I shall keep you posted

Well it is day 3 and I still have a fully functioning computer. I decided to use the fix below first and fortuitously it seems to be holding. Can't ask better than that. Thanks eedcam

Go to Start/Run, and type:
regsvr32.exe inetcomm.dll and press enter
