what socket for cpu

does anyone know any software which could tell me what socket my cpu is.its a Intel® Pentium® M Processor 1.50 GHz{3.75x400]in a sony vaio laptop.i have tried aida32 but it does not tell me my mb or what socket it is or if anyone knows please could you help.

This will tell you the processor, socket, CPU temperature etc.

thanks ami but it does not work. it says its not an intel core processor and the programme will not continue.it does say that it dose not support all cpu's. thanks for trying

Pentium M runs in a socket 479 , although it only has 478 pins and holes in the socket itself , called 479 to differentiate from Desktop 478's

You must surely have the model number of the Sony Vaio - a quick Google or Sony website search will reveal the specifications.
