What is the smallest SATA drive I can get?

Not the physical size but the capacity.

Got a new computer with only 1 IDE connection on the Motherboard.

I want to put two Optical drives on, a DVD RW and a DVD Rom drive.

That means I can't put any IDE Hard Drives on.

I have a 300gb SATA hard drive but wouldn't like to use it for only the O/S (Win XP) and my personal files.

Would like (if possible) a 40gb SATA for the O/S and programs and the 300gb for my files/docs/photo's

I have done a search on Google and the smallest I can see is 80gb, mind you, it is only £35 so I might try that.

I doubt you'll find smaller any more. In any case it would be unlikely to be noticeably cheaper.

You'll probably get even larger for the same sort of price, so I would do that anyway, personally.

Managed to find a 30Gb one too click here (refurb on eBay) but it's dearer than the 40Gb one! G

Thanks guys.

80gb SATA for around £25 or a 250gb SATA for around £35.

Think I will go for the 250gb and partition it 50/200.

Will tick this as resolved.
