What sequence for RAM

My brother has 64Mb of RAM and has ordered 256Mb from Crucial. I seem to remember there's a sequence for which one goes in first, but I can't remember which way. Any help. TIA TR

Personally I would put the 256 stick in the first slot and the 64 in the second one.
Whether it makes a difference or not I don't know!
I have all 3 slots filled. 256 in slot 1, 128 in slot 2 and 64 in slot 3. Total = 448MB

No real diference, but some say best to put the bigger in first slot (slot 0).

allways put the largest ram in first, if not you can create a "bottleneck" with a smaller one first
