The modem has both a USB2 and ethernet connection ports. I wish to connect my Sony pc via an ethernet lead and to my Sony laptop via a laptop adapter. I have been looking at either a BT votager 1500 router or a BT Voyager 2100 and a BT voyager 1060 laptop adapter. Would these products work or are their better alternatives?

You're using NTL cable, are you not?

But all the routers you've mentioned seemed to be for ADSL.

If I were you,I would go for a wireless cable router, which is good for both wireless or wired connection.

Thanks for the links - i had discovered the Chetnet site which leans towards Linksys units, but will look at all the devices that have been linked to this thread.
