HELLO PEEPS, I HAVE A QUESTION, I NEED TO GET AN ETHERNET CARD AND EVERY CARD IVE LOOKED AT SAYS IT IS FOR INTEL YET I BELIVE MY COMPUTER IS RUNNING AMD CPU - DOES THIS MATTER? WILL IT STILL WORK?

  Simsy 10:53 25 Mar 2006

as usual, but I suspect you're misinterpreting the reference to "Intel"...

My guess is that you are looking at ethernet cards described as "Intel". You are taking this to mean that they are meant to run on PCs with Intel processors, whereas I suspect it means that the card is manufactured with an Intel chip somewhere on the card.

If I'm correct this will not be a problem. I have fitted such an Intel card into a PC with an Athlon processor, and it worked fine.

SHOUTING is not likely to be well-received by most forum members. If I hadn't mentioned it, someone else would.

It is also more difficult to read such posts.
