What has happened to my Win Media Player

Something weird has happened to my copy of Win Media Player 9.

When I play any video I get sound ok but the colours of the video are very distorted. making it unwatchable.

I am running on Win 2000 so I cannot upgrade to Win Media Player 11 as was suggested to me.

Can anyone help me on this, I cannot uninstall it and reinstall...or can I?

Thank you

Could be missing or damaged codecs. Install Klite Basic or Standard and see if it helps; click here

You could try a system restore to a time when you know all was working as it should.

Open it up in full screen so you get the menu at the top.

Click View, Enhancements, Colour Chooser

Click reset at the bottom left,

Should do the trick.

Failing that... Download Gom Player, VLC player or an older version of BS Player, the early ones are free with no adware.

I will try the codecs thank you for that.

Pastor Joe thank you for that, but colour chooser is not an option I get when I try as you say, their is no colour option.
