my norton firewall is flashing up this file attempting to contact a dns server.anyone know what is is. google search is negative
spelt it wrongshould be gcasSWUpdater.exe
It is the new Microsoft AntiSpyware I think.
The nearest I can find to this is GCAS Software Updater. This is associated with the GCAS Flight Companion Software. As far as I can tell, though, this is a serious flight simulator for the Pocket PC. Does this offer any clues?
I think VoG™ is right it's the microsoft AntiSpyware updater.
My sygate firewall comes up with Giant when the m/soft antispyware wants to connect to the net.
Having just checked my startup progs m/soft antispy is listed there as gcasServ
my spysweeper protection recognises it as part of the new microsoft spyware prog.
thankyou everyone I have been told it is part of MS antispyware update system as mentioned by vog
