What font should I use?

I am rebuilding my website and like the look of "Arial size 8" as my font. Is 8 too small or should I go for a size "10".

is Verdana - often in 8pt for body text - but it's a personal thing. I tend to think that 10pt can look a little too large, but it's a contextual decision, dependent on the page layout, and several other factors, like whether or not the site has a commercial purpose, and what kind of mood you're trying to create.

The best way to find out is to test the same page with several font and point size options, so you can see what looks best - make sure you view the pages in a browser, and try to ask other people for their reactions.

I agree re Verdana - was using Arial but my daughter suggested Verdana and its made a great improvement.
